I am a silly, awkward little girl. And that's about it.
No, okay. I guess there's a little more.
I'm nineteen. Born on Halloween.
I currently go to a little sort-of obscure college in the United States where I'm studying journalism and trying to figure out whether I want to punch or make out with an international student from Ireland. Yeah...
I've been playing the viola for almost ten whole years, and despite my long history with the world's greatest instrument ever, I still kind of suck. Oh well. It's a hobby of mine, and I plan to continue that hobby for the rest of my life, or at least until all my knuckle cracking starts to have an effect and the joints of my fingers swell with arthritis. Fun.
I'm a pessimist, I guess.
I like to write. I just haven't had much time for it lately. My favorite kinds of things to read and write are quirky stories that have ridiculous, crazy plots, but that still feel very real because of the incredibly human and relatable characters. Christopher Moore anyone? He's like, my freaking hero. But when I'm not feeling as quirky, I also really look up to the writing of Sarah Dessen and Ian McEwan, because they seriously, seriously know how to capture real life. Actually, if I ever published books (which I won't ever because I have the attention span of a three-year-old boy), I'd be some weird author that didn't have a specific genre, and I'd confuse everyone every time I came out with a new book, because some would be crazy and ridiculous and others would be really serious. Man, I love writing.
Also, Josh Groban is my future husband. For those who didn't know.
Sometimes I wonder if everyone sees the world in different colors. Like, my yellow is exactly the equivalent of your hot pink, and my navy blue is actually your booger green.
My favorite shape is the triangle. No particular reason.
I'm rambling. I don't know. This is more fun than reading for class, which is the alternative.
Team Jacob? Yeah. Team Jacob.
Recently I've gotten obsessed with taking old National Geographic magazines from the art department and cutting out really sweet pictures to tape on my walls. I've got some really awesome ones, including the most gorgeous picture of an ocelot ever taken. His name is Oscar, and he is on the wall above my pillow, protecting me at night. I've also got this unbelievably cool picture of all these hogs milling around a rooftop in the middle of a flood. It's so cool, because I didn't know hogs could swim, but they must have survived somehow. Plus, they're cute. Anyway, all of these pictures are supposed to inspire me somehow. I guess. I don't know. I just think they're cool.
I've run out of stuff to say. So that's me in a somewhat large nutshell.
OH. And I'm very sarcastic. That doesn't always translate well through the internet, so just be warned. Sometimes I'll say stuff that looks really tactless in writing, but it's just sarcasm.
Usually.
